Courses are designed for practicing evaluators and those who wish to be, to help them learn new skills or polish old ones. But, others who know something about social science research and want to learn applications in evaluation or who nevertheless find themselves involved in evaluation tasks should also be challenged by the courses. It is our hope that those who attend will hone their skills in diagnosing, analyzing, designing, managing, and implementing, such that evaluations and the programs evaluated will be improved.

Text and Materials. All classes have take-home support materials. Textbooks are provided for most courses--where the books have current information and specifically apply to the content and philosophy of the subject matter as presented by the instructor. Where an appropriate text is not available, a syllabus is prepared by the instructor with supporting readings and, in most cases, copies of visuals used in class. Only one copy of the same text is given to any one individual.
