Course Registration and Payment Information

Registration forms and payments are due one month in advance of the first day of the first class for any given program, i.e.:

• December 12, 2007, for the January 2008 program in San Francisco.
• March 12, 2008, for the April 2008 program in Chicago.
• June 16, 2008, for the July 208 program in Washington, DC.

The above dates are the times at which we feel assured that we can have text books, course materials, and other items ready for you when you arrive on site. After this date, we cannot be sure these will be available at the time of your class.

After these dates, registrations can still be made as long as space remains in classes and some form of guarantee of payment is received. This guarantee can be a formal and written commitment from your organization to pay, or a credit card authorization for the full registration fee. Call 302-644-0990 to determine space availability.

Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis and are complete when payment is received.

Note :  Many classes fill prior to the deadline for receipt of registrations. When this happens no more space can be guaranteed. However, we always have cancellations (e.g., people get sick, relatives die), so we maintain a "wait list" for anyone who wishes to take a chance that an opening will occur. Sometimes registrants choose 2nd choice classes and then we move them into their first choices as cancellations occur.

Refunds can be made per following schedule:

*Depending upon the reason for canceling (e.g., death of immediate family member, very serious illness of participant), vouchers for use in future programs may be awarded for all or a portion of the fee, excluding the per class service fee. No cash refunds for courses that are full and no candidate can be found to fill the course space. Please note that cancellations are costly in time and actual dollars, e.g., in labor for database input, in materials copied, in textbooks purchased, in payments to the Hotel for breakfast and breaks, and for other prepaid items.

At any time, another person may be substituted without penalty by sending to TEI office a completed copy of the registration form with appropriate contact information of the person being substituted.
