Course Locations and Dates
Courses will be at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown, April 24-29, 2006. The Courtyard Marriott is located at 30 East Hubbard, Chicago 60611. The local numbers are: telephone: 312-329-2500, fax: 312-329-0293.
We are pleased to have a contract with this facility. Here are some reasons:
1. Free high speed internet access.
2. Government Per Diem Rate.
3. Great location: “in the River North area, 2 blocks from the famed Magnificent Mile, dining, entertainment, galleries, museums and the business district.”
4. Huge health/spa area with indoor swimming pool, exercise room with many different machines and several of the most popular (like the treadmill), whirlpool area.
5. Spacious sleeping rooms with “new” comfy beds, oversized desks, and telephone with voice-mail service and dual phone lines.
6. And, our experience with the staff during our negotiations was really terrific. They were friendly, helpful, and caused us to believe they will be great to work with during our program.
Daily Schedule
Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end about 5:00 p.m. each day, with morning, lunch, and afternoon breaks.
Sleeping Room Reservations
Participants are responsible for arranging lodging. Call 1-800-321-2211 and be sure to mention that you are attending the progam of The Evaluators’ Institute. The rate is $179/night, single or double occupancy, or the government rate for qualified individuals.
Note: The above rates are good through April 10, 2006. After this day, the rate could go up OR there may be no space. Be sure to confirm your check-out time on day of arrival.
Public Transit
The Courtyard Marriott is one block from the subway station: Grand Ave. RED Line Stop.
Airports
You may fly into the Chicago O’Hare Airport or the Chicago Midway Airport. The easiest way to get to Hotel is via the subway. According to the Sales office, the cost and time are: $3.50 for round trip ticket, and time is 45-55 minutes from O’Hare and 35-45 minutes from Midway. Another way to get to Hotel from Airport is the Airport Express shuttle. In November 2005 the rates from O’Hare were $46 round trip single, $34/double, and $27 for 3 or more. From Midway: $36 roundtrip for one, $26/double, and $22 for 3 or more.
