Certificate in Evaluation Practice

The Certificate in Evaluation Practice is awarded for completion of a set of courses designed to increase one's understanding of the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to produce valid and useable evaluations. It is for evaluators who are seeking an expanded conception or a broader framework for what constitutes evaluation practice, for evaluation professionals without much formal or recent coursework who wish to develop a more systematic understanding of the field, and for those who are approaching evaluation practice as a new endeavor. This certificate also serves as the prerequisite for the next level certificate in Advanced Evaluation Practices.

Requirements: 15 days of coursework in Group IA topics, below, and 15 days of electives from Groups IB and IC topics.

In the list below, each topic is linked to the current TEI course that satisfies the requirement or the elective.

Many past TEI courses satisfy part or all of the hours associated with Group I courses. If you are a past TEI participant, you may request a transcript showing your credits against any Certificate. Send a stamped and self-addressed envelope to the TEI office: 116 Front Street, Federal Building, Rm 236, Lewes, DE 19958, and indicate which certificate(s) are of interest. Transcripts will be provided at no cost as long as we are permitted to handle these requests as we have time, i.e., within 30 days. For rush orders, send a check for $10 along with a stamped and self-addressed envelope.
